Cool invitations
Just got done making a very cool invitation
it is made to look like wood, but all the parts are paper.
Here is the recipe
Take thick filler paper and laminate several sheets together.
Next add the top and bottom layers.
Then deckle the edges to hide the filler paper. Here is the hard part, print the wording on on 1/4" card stock.

River trip video
Here is a video looking down the river. If you look on google earth look for garlic falls on the kings river just up stream from pine flat lake. This is where we camped the second night, you'll see I am kind of uneasy because I am unsure if we are going to make it out on time or if we will come to an impassable point on the river where there is a falls or something like that in the river that would make us either go back or up the side of the mountain and around the problem .
Enjoy the video

River Trip
What a tripWe were dropped off of Friday afternoon and we knew we had a 45 minute hike just to get down to the river. Deann was kind and drove us to the drop off point.
We needed to make time
Friday evening didn't leave us a lot of time to find a camping spot besides we needed to make some milage on the river, and if you know anything about walking down a river that means hopping rocks and crossing the river just to be able to travel further down stream.
Catching fish
D.J. is really good at catching fish and he did most of the fishing. I would say he caught somewhere around 40 fish.
We planned to eat fish for a few meals put as it turns out we didn't bring enough food so we ate fish for 3 of the 6 meals on the river. I am not a fish eater but I must say the fish was not bad, I guess there is a difference when you are hungary.
What a canyon
When we got back I was talking to Tom about the trip and informing him about how hard traversing the river was and he says"oh yea thats the impassable canyon".
And I understood why, the canyon necks down to the width of the river plus just a little and there are boulders on the side of the river the size of houses that we had to get over or around.
We made it to the pick up point around 5 p.m. Sunday evening. I had never been on this kind of journey before. Even though it may have been one of the most roughest trips I have been on, I got more than I expected. When I figure out what that means I'll let you know.

Here is a no name lake that Blake and I went swinning in we went swimming in a total of 4 lakes, let me tell you the water was cool and you can't ask for more.
